Update, 4/22/12:
The artist Julie Zarate, informed us Jason Zenga and Juliann Cyhan do indeed have a child together now, and are using their baby to acquire new paintings in their baby's name. She left this comment on our blog three days ago:
"This is the first I've seen of this and thank God I went with my gut instinct. Recently I have been contacted by Juliann Cyhan through Facebook. As if their past transgressions weren't disgusting enough, now they are using their child to gain things they don't want to pay for:
"Hi Julie, We are huge art collectors and recently had a son--11 week old Kayden, who was born with an abnormality that is going to take a lot of energy to find out exactly what is effected and how to fix it...Many doctor visits, possibly even surgeries. He was born with Aplasia cutis congenita on his head.
We just wanted to put something nice and meaningful together to give him. We are putting together a 11x17 book "Artists I have Met" to gift to our son Kayden. We are asking you to contribute one page using any medium and subject matter, only thing we ask is it is personalized somehow with Kayden's name. Either his name drawn into the piece or a simple little shot out to him.This is not to be sold, copied, or reproduced. It is a gift for him, so he has his own personal art collection, that we took the time, effort, and energy to reach out and contact everyone who contributes. We will ship the book to you and provide a prepaid envelope to ship it back to us, if you are interested in doing a small page. We just started this journey--So far Parra and Kelly Tunstall have contributed.
We are also in the works of having Doze Green, & Mr. Brainwash contribute a page. Justin Bower, Fab Ciraolo, Cernesto Wonder,Camille Rose Garcia, Delta, Ryan Myers, Joe Iurato, Herbert Baglione, Thais Beltrame, and Nina Friday just confirmed to doing pages as well.
This is something that means a lot to us and we know when he is old enough after he goes through everything he will face, this will be an amazingly thoughtful gift. (Art Asylum Boston con artists Jason Zenga's and Juliann Cyhan's online wedding registry.)
They still owe us a considerable amount of money for the phony check Cyhan drew on her account to pay for a KAWS which Zenga first claimed was damaged and how they wanted the already cleared funds back, while simultaneously reselling the undamaged piece to art collector Ronnie Pirovino. Ronnie still possesses a work he doesn't legally own, but that doesn't bother us nearly as much as the fact Jason and Juliann, who have conned uncountable collectors and artists, are still on the loose in their hometown of Lynn, MA.
Now this: After checking in on our poor, neglected blog tonight we saw site traffic blowing up from a Banksyforum board where user "blackice", who is actually Jason Zenga, is still selling art under an alias.
Most recently it was a Retna work, "Got Paint II", stolen in transit from New Image Art.
The most disturbing part of this is all the concerned friends of Juliann who spent months writing to us telling us how we shouldn't pursue a case against her, how she's this poor abused victim, and how Jason is already married to another woman he victimized.
And while we're totally weary and suspicious of all Zenga's and Cyhan's past relations who have turned to us, here's one of the more relevant anecdotes, an ex-girlfriend of Zenga's e-mailed us last year:
"The name Dorine struck me familiar and I remembered an explanation from Jason in 2009 regarding incessant phone calls he was getting from her on his personal cell phone. She was a "friend" in San Francisco who was going to school. She used to live in Mass, blah, blah, blah.... she was from South America, he explained and very socially awkward due to her thick accent and the language barrier. I joked with him saying that maybe she wanted him to marry her so she could stay in the country. Well, lo and behold, this weekend doing more digging revealed this info attached below. Dorine is indeed his wife, having married in 2008 and referring to him several times in various places. Her resume indicates that she was "employed" by AAB for a long time and reported to him as her boss. In your material, there are several instances where Juli Cyhan is referred to as his wife/spouse, including the lawsuit from the European gentlemen, but in fact, Dorine is his legal spouse."
And now thanks to a quick search on Dorine Coello we now know that Jason Zenga's name is... not really Jason Zenga! It's Jason Chicarello! Or at least that's one more of his many aliases!
We should have looked into this a long time ago! Also, "handling the donations and distributions to different foundations"?!?! Makes you wonder how long Art Asylum Boston has been pretending to work with charities.
And now there's further confirmation Jason Zenga is really "Jason Chicarello." (It's actually Ciccarello.) Just check out his new Facebook page, where he also reveals he's still living in the Boston area.

is it really appropriate for you to post this about his wife? cant you realize that this person is also a victim of his? i dont think this is appropriate. if you want to find zenga, u should focus on him. i looked up records and you actually do not have anything filed with the courts.so all this looks like bogus to me and a personal vandetta, i believe he is guilty and so is juliann, however i dont think its right to disclose her identity to the public.i believe she is a victim too.
