A huge Dorothy Parker fan, ever since the girl across the hall from our girlfriend at Barnard back in the day seduced us with her dog-eared copy of Parker's collected works, so when we read Tim Carvell's tweet last night, we tested ourself to channel her:
"Whiskey does on Saturday night what crackers do on Sunday morning - make for a more tolerable host."
It's not a poem, but it's not bad.
It was also a way to amuse ourself while submitting another 1000 words on Occupy New Jersey's efforts to maintain its protest at Journal Square. You can read that story, here, at the Jersey City Independent.
